We have always viewed Sanctum as a craft.

From the beginning, our goal has been to push the boundaries of what is possible within a virtual environment. We wanted to see how far sound, light, and architecture can go when treated with the same reverence as a physical space. There is a reality to this level of ambition that often goes unseen.

Building and maintaining Sanctum at this scale requires a team of developers, technicians, and creatives working near full-time. These are people who have dedicated their professional lives to this medium. We believe that if you want to create the best work in the world, you have to support the people who build it.

Making This Sustainable

We are not here to monetize VRChat. We are here to make this level of creation sustainable.

Currently, the investment required to keep Sanctum running exceeds what the project brings in. This includes paying our developers, covering server costs, and managing technical infrastructure. For most creators in this space, work like this is a side hustle or a hobby that eventually leads to burnout.

We want to ensure the people who make this world breathe can focus on their craft without the constant pressure of outside employment.

Where Your Support Goes

If we ever reach a point where the project is no longer running at a deficit, we will let the community know. For now, every dollar contributed helps us dent the significant personal investment required to keep the doors open.
